Poet's Brain
contradictory and totally insane
visions of devils and shattering pain
sensibilities and feelings of love
illlusionary ramblings sweet turtle dove
you never quite know just what they mean
as they shower their love and vent their spleen
their mind is a sewer and a glade of flowers
as they give birth to a nation with their awesome powers
they are driven by love and feelings of doom
their presence is frightening so give them room
they are the future they reveal the past
let's hope their brains last and last
